Overview
Microsoft Windows 11 is the new operating system set to be rolled out to ICTO-managed computers starting in February 2025. Updating to Windows 11 will guarantee that users have access to the latest features, enhanced security, and improved performance.
- New Look – Featuring a modern design, Windows 11 offers a streamlined interface and a redesigned Start Menu that significantly enhances both usability and visual appeal.
- Improved performance –Optimized for speed and efficiency, ensuring a smoother and faster user experience during the upgrade process and in daily tasks.
- Enhanced security – Windows 11 introduces advanced security measures to safeguard against malicious software and unauthorized access, enhancing overall system protection.
- Accessibility – With improved accessibility features, Windows 11 makes it easier for all users to navigate and utilize the system effectively.

Upgrade Arrangements
New Computers:
Windows 11 will be pre-installed on all new computers.
Existing Computers:
- Computers that have reached their lifecycle will be scheduled for PC upgrade.
- Computers that have not yet reached their lifecycle but meet the installation requirements, updates will be available via the Software Center for self-installation.
ICTO will contact each department about the update schedule.
Briefing About Windows 11
In order to introduce more about the features of Windows 11, ICTO has organized a briefing “Meet Windows 11 – Discover the Latest Features and Tips” on 26 March 2025.
