To upgrade some of the Wireless Lan Systems, which are nearing the end of product life cycle. The project areas include Library, FST and Central Teaching Buildings.

The network equipment of N21, N22 and N23 was deployed seven years ago since the construction of the Hengqin Campus in 2013. The original design of the network system was for administrative and clerical works, it is not suitable for research work which requires a faster network. Furthermore, the network equipment will reach its end-of-support state soon.

In view of this, ICTO planned to upgrade all of the network equipment installed in N21, N22 & N23 within this year. We aim at optimizing the network topology and increasing the network speed of user port from 100Mbps to 1Gbps.
