In order to help users better understand how to effectively use VooV/Tencent Meeting, ICTO has organized “Briefing on VooV/Tencent Meeting” on 23rd April. In the briefing, we introduced about VooV/Tencent Meeting, how to apply for account, sign in the account, schedule meeting, join meeting, features overview etc. and demonstrations. This helped enhance understanding how to use VooV/Tencent Meeting.

In order to introduce more about the features of Windows 11, ICTO has organized a briefing “Meet Windows 11 – Discover the Latest Features and Tips”. In the briefing, we shared about the interface of Windows 11, comparison between Windows 10 and Windows 11, benefits of upgrading to Windows 11, upgrade arrangements, tips for Windows 11 etc. and demonstrations. This helped enhance understanding about the new Windows 11 operating system and prepare for upgrade.

The ICTO successfully conducted a training session titled “Event Registration System (EVM)” and “Event Management System (EMS)” on 19th March. During the session, ICTO provided a detailed introduction and demonstration on how to configure the EVM and EMS interfaces, while also sharing practical insights from past experiences. Participants learned how to generate registration link and QR code (EVM), as well as how to manage participant registration and payment processes (EMS), etc.

The ICTO and QEMS Workgroup Workshop, titled ‘Review Session on Operations of QEMS SharePoint’, was successfully held in January. During the workshop, ICTO introduced the major features offered by SharePoint for Document Management and demonstrated the daily operations for managing the SOP & WI documents in QEMS departmental site.

In order to introduce more about Microsoft Teams, ICTO organized a “Briefing on Microsoft Teams”. In the briefing, ICTO shared about Microsoft Teams features, account types, and common functions such as create or schedule meeting, meeting invitation and admittance, recording etc. This helped enhance understanding how to use Microsoft Teams.
The ICTO workshop, “Introduction to Microsoft Copilot (for Administrative Staff),” was successfully held. Throughout the workshop, participants learned about the benefits of generative AI, explored the features of Microsoft Copilot, and mastered the steps to use this tool. This enhanced their understanding of Microsoft Copilot, enabling them to apply this knowledge in their daily work. Due to the positive response, ICTO will continue to hold more workshops like this in the coming year.
The ICTO and FO Workshop, titled ‘Introduction to the New Student Stipend System (3S)’, was successfully held in July. During the workshop, ICTO demonstrated how to handle student stipend processes in the new Student Stipend System, which will replace the Assistantship Funding, and Academic Activities and internship in Student Information System.
