Briefing on Microsoft Teams

In order to introduce more about Microsoft Teams, ICTO organized a “Briefing on Microsoft Teams”.  In the briefing, ICTO shared about Microsoft Teams features, account types, and common functions such as create or schedule meeting, meeting invitation and admittance, recording etc.  This helped enhance understanding how to use Microsoft Teams.

ICTO Workshop: “Introduction to Microsoft Copilot (for Administrative Staff)“

The ICTO workshop, “Introduction to Microsoft Copilot (for Administrative Staff),” was successfully held. Throughout the workshop, participants learned about the benefits of generative AI, explored the features of Microsoft Copilot, and mastered the steps to use this tool. This enhanced their understanding of Microsoft Copilot, enabling them to apply this knowledge in their daily work. Due to the positive response, ICTO will continue to hold more workshops like this in the coming year.

ICTO and FO Workshop: “Introduction to the new Student Stipend System (3S)”

The ICTO and FO Workshop, titled ‘Introduction to the New Student Stipend System (3S)’, was successfully held in July. During the workshop, ICTO demonstrated how to handle student stipend processes in the new Student Stipend System, which will replace the Assistantship Funding, and Academic Activities and internship in Student Information System.

ICTO Workshops: “Get Started with UMDrive Easily – Access and Share Files Anytime” and “Tips and Tricks of Using Outlook“

The ICTO workshops, “Get Started with UMDrive Easily – Access and Share Files Anytime” and “Tips and Tricks of Using Outlook”, were successfully held this Wednesday. In these workshops, we shared practical examples and hands-on operations to help colleagues become familiar with useful features and tips related to UMDrive and Outlook. This helped enhance their understanding of these functions so they can use in their daily work.

The ICTO workshop, “Introduction to the Web Portal of HPCC”  focused on the topic of the web portal of the High Performance Computing Cluster (HPCC) with demonstrations, which helped the students and researchers to enhance understanding the use of HPCC for running software, managing their files, and submitting and managing their computing jobs.

ICTO Workshop:” Get Familiar with Foxit Quickly – Practical PDF Editing Skills” and “Briefing on how to use ICTO Computer Room”

In these ICTO workshops, “Get Familiar with Foxit Quickly – Practical PDF Editing Skills” and “Briefing on How to Use ICTO Computer Room,” , colleagues from various departments learnt PDF editing skills and enhanced their understanding of the ICTO Computer Room facilities.

ICTO Workshop: “Advanced Tips and Tricks of using WebCMS and e-Bulletin Board”

The workshop focused on the topic of “Advanced Tips and Tricks of using WebCMS and e-Bulletin Board”, which included two main parts. Firstly, participants learned the skills of creating menus and translating content on websites. Secondly, they learned the skills of creating and revising bulletins on the e-Bulletin Board. (123)

ICTO Seminar : “NVIDIA Summit” of AI for Efficient Research

It aims to let HPCC users be familiar with GPU computing. NVIDIA gave a very comprehensive and valuable insights on the following aspects: AI trends, GROMACS containers, and the NVIDIA HPC SDK for efficiently doing research.
