Membership of JUCC
Introduction
ICTO, University of Macau is one of the affiliate member of Joint Universities Computer Centre (JUCC). As an affiliate member of JUCC, ICTO had joined four of the work groups of JUCC, they are JUCC Information Security Task Force (ISTF), JUCC Special Interest Group on User Services (SIGUS), Information Systems (SIGIS) and High Performance Computing (SIGHPC).
JUCC is a consortium of Computer Centres and IT Services Centres of the eight government-funded tertiary institutions in Hong Kong. JUCC’s primary objective has been to develop, provide and advise on computing and information technology services, in the areas of teaching and learning, research and administration, for its member institutions and Hong Kong’s education community at large.
JUCC has a total of eight full member institutions include University of Hong Kong, Chinese University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong Polytechnic University, City University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong Baptist University, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, Lingnan University and Hong Kong Institute of Education. Besides serving the eight full member institutions, JUCC also provides services to its eight affiliate members which include University of Macau.

Information Security Task Force (ISTF)
Information Security Task Force (ISTF) is a risk management strategy and functional mechanism established by the JUCC Steering Committee to address critical information security issues facing by JUCC member institutions. ISTF aims to promote awareness and knowledge of Information Security by sharing the experiences among ISTF member institutions, holding IS Trainings and IS Conference and publishing Information Security Newsletter periodically.

Special Interest Group on User Services (SIGUS)
SIGUS’s mission is to enhance the user services of information technology in the member institutions of JUCC by conducting regular sharing to share experiences, problems encountered, ideas and promote good practices of user service among member institutions.

Special Interest Group on Information Systems (SIGIS)
The aims of SIGIS is to enhance the information system services to be provided to end users by sharing experience, ideas, challenges and best practices on enterprise information system among the information system professionals of JUCC member institutions.

Special Interest Group on High Performance Computing (SIGHPC)
SIGHPC aims to form a working group that consists of the managers of HPC facilities and services from JUCC member institutions to share HPC related experiences, practical problems , new ideas and technologies in order to excel in the administration of HPC facilities and promote good services to HPC users.
