Service Overview

Make Me Admin is a tool installed on ICTO computers that provides a convenient way to temporarily elevate privileges when needed. This tool enables users to perform administrative tasks while providing enhanced security control. It can protect against most malware and prevent attackers from making malicious changes to the computer. Moreover, it helps standardize the computer’s settings and software, making the computer more reliable and the user’s experience more consistent across ICTO devices.

Getting started

How to request to use Make Me Admin?

Those who have a working or research need for repeated administrative access on their computers for ongoing needs may submit Request Local Admin Rights form to request the use of the Make Me Admin tool on their computers.  Make Me Admin is available for administrative staff upon request and approval from your department head.
